In 1970, I moved to Massachusetts where I continue to live.  I received a M.S. in Communication Disorders from Emerson College in Boston.  I worked as a Speech Pathologist within the public school system for 31 years until my retirement in 2009.  I predominantly worked with preschool children & frequently used creative play techniques that I learned from Connie Dillow to develop socialization, play & communication skills in these children.

I have a married daughter Alyssa, age 33, from my marriage to Cliff Colby who passed away in 2014.  I have 9 grandchildren from his 4 children from a previous marriage.

I am involved in the town garden club & library & have an “obsession” for books.  Mostly, I love to travel within the United States & abroad.  I consider Nebraska my second home and return yearly to visit family, relatives & friends.  I have a strong attachment to my high school friends in Kansas City which is where I lived until we moved to Wahoo in 1965.  Thus, began my college years at JFK.
