Steve Siegrist

I graduated from JFK in May, 1973.  Two days prior to graduation I married Diane Bennett, also a 1970 graduate of JFK.  Diane passed away on April 26, 2023, less than a month before our 50th wedding anniversary.

While at JFK I was a member of Phi Theta Chi, wrestled, editor of the school paper, worked as a campus night watchman, and tended bar at the Sportsman in downtown Wahoo.

After graduation, Diane and I moved to my hometown, Lancaster PA for a year then to her hometown of Green Mountain Iowa for two years and then settled permanently in PA where we raised our two children, Shawn and Heather.

Diane and I were very active in our kids' school and extracurricular activities.  I was a scout leader, baseball/football/ softball coach and attended many horse shows as well as dance and musical recitals.  Diane and I both played softball on individual and mixed teams until the kids' activities took precedent.

I spent most of my business career in the purchasing field.  The majority of my career was at the local electric utility.  I spent 15 years at Three Mile Island (after the accident).  Diane also worked there as an accountant.

I retired in 2014 and now spend my time chasing after 9 grand and 3 great grandkids in their many activities.  I also golf, love my yard and house projects, and spend time with the family at our cabin at Raystown Lake.  Since retiring I've been doing volunteer work with foster kids (CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocate).
