Raymond Greenhalgh (First President) 1924 - 1975

Ray Greenhalgh, director and first president of John F. Kennedy College, was born in Melcher IA in 1924. He gained his Bachelor of Science degree from Drake University in Des Moines IA and Master of Arts at the University of Colorado. He came to JFK from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa.

Ray spent three years in the Army during World War II, a year of which was in the Philippine Islands. After his discharge, he spent two years as assistant Field Director overseas in the American Red Cross. He later spent one year in Europe and one stationed in Africa.

He passed away from medical problems in 1975.
