Jim taught and Jeannette attended JFK from 1966-70, until they left JFK when Jim accepted a position as Potter-In-Residence at Berea College, KY, then opened a studio the following year. They have been at their current location (214 W Stephen Foster Ave, Bardstown) since 1997. Jeannette is his archivist (over 900 oil paintings, 2000 watercolors, plus drawings). Jim has work in 17 museums in the country, including several in Nebraska (Sheldon Museum in Lincoln, Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney and the Wilber Cultural Museum and Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art, in Wilber and David City, respectively). Jim was commissioned by Churchill Downs to paint the “Official Artwork for the 2017 Kentucky Derby,” and produced a splendid watercolor.
