Donna and I left Nebraska for Maryland in December of '70, having completed my course work for graduation in '71. I secured a position as a Public Affairs Officer in the federal Office of Economic Opportunity, a niche, PAO, I kept throughout my federal career. After that stint I went to work for the Department of the Army - Military District of Washington/Ft. McNair, Walter Reed Army Medical Center - two tours, Headquarters, Army National Guard Bureau, and on the Secretary of the Army's Public Affairs staff, Pentagon. I retired from federal service in 2004 as the Deputy Public Affairs Officer at Walter Reed. Donna also retired from federal service in 2004. In 2006, we bought a lot, built a home and moved to Calabash, NC, where we enjoy all that coastal living has to offer. In 54 years of marriage we have been blessed with three children, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. We travel a lot, enjoy cruising and Donna is down to Michigan and I'm down to Connecticut and we'll have been to all 50 states.
