Mike and Kathleen Stolarcyk     kstolarcyk49@yahoo.com

Mike came to Wahoo at the very beginning of JFK's first year. He played on the tennis team. He met me, Kathy Meese Stolarcyk, and we were married at Christmas of his senior year. I am a native of Wahoo, and the niece of Lillie Gibson who owned the Fairview Cafe.

Mike graduated from JFK College in 1968 and moved back to Binghamton, NY, where he worked in his dad's car sales and repair. In 1972 Mike became the Chevrolet dealer in Whitney Point ,NY. He continued as dealer for 38 years until Chevrolet decided to offer small dealers a buy-out. Since then he runs a used car lot and mechanical shop.

We have 2 daughters ages 49 and 48. Michelle, 49, works with us and does a great job. Wendy is married, has 3 children ages 21,18, and 10. They live in Raleigh where she teaches math at a high school with 3000 students. We had a wonderful son who was married, and had two small sons, but he passed 10 years ago due to a virus attacking his heart eventually causing heart failure. We have a wonderful daughter-in-law and grandsons ages 13 and 14 now.

Our grandkids are the loves of our life.

Mike collects antique, classic, and hot rod cars. His love of them has added so his collection numbers over forty. He also loves to golf.

We go to NC when possible as we have a house there north of Charlotte.

Kathy has always stayed busy, substituting school for 18 years, and working in our business. She enjoys golf, machine embroidery, and going to Walt Disney World.

We have been married over 50 years.
