When I was a Freshman in High School, I visited my sister Pam at Kennedy. After that weekend visit, I decided Kennedy was the college for me.

In September of 1971, my parents dropped me off and returned home to Chicago; I was 900 miles away from home without parental supervision. Hours after they left, I was standing on campus taking it all in and was approached by two male co-ed that invited me, and three other female Freshman to a party off-campus at the Beech House. Thank you Wayne Koncan and Vic Lopez for the introduction to college life; after that night it only got better.

Kennedy gave me the basic core courses to make my decision about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I decided that returning home to Chicago to complete my degree was necessary for my major. I earned a Bachelor‘s degree and a Master’s from an Illinois University and became an Oncology Social Worker. I loved my job.

I have been blessed with a wonderful marriage and two terrific children. I have been married to my husband George for 32 years. My daughter Jill is 30 and married, with no grandchildren yet and my son BJ (Ben Joel) is 27 and just became engaged with a planned wedding sometime in 2021.

I am so excited to attend this reunion so I can catch up with my Omega sorority sisters Chipper, Willie, Lulu, Jule, and Betty. I have kept in contact by email and Christmas card with other Omegas through the years. These have been very important friendships for me.

Now that I am retired I plan on just dancing in the kitchen with my husband.
