I attended JFK for only three years from 1967-1970 when I transferred to a Northeastern Illinois University so I would graduate with an Illinois teaching certificate. I continued my education with a Masters in Urban Education and National Board Certification. I put all this education to use by being a Chicago Public School teacher for over 25 years. I taught a lot of 11-year-old 5th graders! I finally turned in my chalk and retired two years ago. During this time, I also got married to my husband Ron, of 47 years and had one son. I am also a grandmother of four-year-old twins, Luke and Lola.
I have very fond memories of JFK since these were my maturing years. Coming from all girls Catholic high school dorm life and boys were an experience! I will always be grateful to my Bouvier roommates for getting me through such an eye-opening time! Thanks Marilyn, Carol, Judy, Marsha and Connie!
I am thrilled to be attending this reunion with my sister Joey and am looking forward to renewing old friendships and exchanging memories with everyone. The years have been very good to me and I am waiting to see what other “gems" will be thrown my way!
