After graduating from JFK in 1974, Juliene represented the United States in 11 international basketball competitions, culminating her career by winning a silver medal in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal where she was a co-captain along with Pat Summitt.
She was also a gold medalist in the 1975 Pan Am Games, and a silver medalist in the 1973 World University Games.
In 2000, Juliene was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN.
In 2017, Juliene was inducted into the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame.
As a collegiate coach, she won over 400 games. She spent 8 seasons as the Head women’s basketball coach at Arizona State University where twice she coached her team to Sweet 16 appearances in the NCAA Championships. She was also the head women’s basketball coach at University of Cincinnati, Bucknell University, and East Stroudsburg University.
For the past 10 years, Juliene has served as the Director of Athletics at the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ. Having met her husband Mike at JFK, they recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. They are most proud of their two daughters, Jennifer and Shannon, and 3 granddaughters.While at JFK, Juliene was a four-time AAU All-American, and twice MVP of the AAU National Tournament.
