Harvey Blake 1910 - 1997

Harvey Blake August 29, 1910 - March 17, 1997 Was the East Hall and Nelson Hall custodian at JFK for nine years. Best known for his joke of the day and warm friendship with the Kennedy students. Harvey left school at 16 to work on the railroad making a point to the JFK guys how lucky they were to get an education. Harvey would also talk about his days in the Seabees in World War 2, 1942-1945. (that was the same branch of the service my father was in during that same time period...Carl Wirth)
