SUE COX-BENDER 1953 - 2023
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Bender, our beloved company founder and CEO. Susan passed away on November 11, 2023, after a 20-year battle with cancer.
In the predominantly male oil and gas industry, Susan was considered a maverick; starting Linc Energy Systems, Inc. in a one-bedroom condo in 1990, and growing it into the thriving multi-million-dollar company it is today.
Bucking the norm once again, she dared to create a culture of love at Linc, which earned her an Eclipse Award for Outstanding Company Culture from the NWBOC, just one of her many accolades as a business and community leader.
Details about Celebrations of Life will be available in the coming weeks.
Susan was a great supporter of Project Angel Heart. Donations may be made in her name to that organization.
Susan Marie Cox Bender, born in Bayonne, NJ was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She was the founder and CEO of Linc Energy Systems and led the organization since 1990. She earned many awards throughout her career including the Titan 100 Award, Denver Business Journal Outstanding Woman in Business and Top Women In Energy designations. Susan is survived by her wife, Sue Gallanter, her son, Preston Marcoux, a sister and two brothers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 1:30pm in the Teel Sanctuary at Mile Hi Church, 9077 W. Alameda Ave. Lakewood, CO.
